Through a community-activating approach where pledgers can engage directly in cause-driven projects through the 4Ts (Time, Talent, Ties and Treasure), we serve as the gateway to giving for like-hearted individuals to jumpstart their own giving journeys. If you are seeking a community-focused way to give back, and are new to giving and/or Singapore, let ImpactSG be your first port of call.
My journey as an Impact Pledger of Impact SG started about a year and a half ago, and I shall outline 3 things which sets them apart from other organisations.
First and foremost, Impact SG provides an immersive experience for pledgers to experience the frontline of the charity work, this allows us to see first hand how to create impact and to physically see how people’s lives are changed for the better. It opens new doors and opportunities which family offices may not know existed.
Secondly, Impact SG spends the time to listen, and proactively engage with pledgers to leverage and make use of our individual strength, in the area that resonates with our hearts. I was given an opportunity to do just that.
My heart has always wanted to see young people expand their horizon and vision. They provided an opportunity to leverage my international network of business leaders, and opened venues for them to speak and engage with heartland high school students through motivational speeches, this would not have been possible without Impact SG.
Third, they provide a venue for Family Office and business leaders to network and engage with each other, so the network effect can snowball into creating greater impact which would otherwise not have been impossible.
I’ve also participated in their many immersion sessions which allowed family offices and newcomers to Singapore to have a sense of community and belonging, so we can engage and be part of Singapore society, this is a far cry, and different from the “donate to get a picture op” model.
Their willingness to listen, their courage to break new ground, and their leadership in providing opportunity is why I believe Impact SG is the best venue to engage In Charity. Their multi-faceted, and multi-dimensional mandate is at the forefront of addressing the most pressing issues facing Singapore and SE Asia, and also the planet as a whole.
ImpactSG’s events and their community have been both enriching and energizing, and the camaraderie among the attendees is truly uplifting. I’m confident that this launch will amplify ImpactSG’s positive impact on the community even further. I look forward to working with them as we explore innovative ways and means to uplift rental households in Singapore.
ImpactSG is a much needed ground up initiative, which brings together families who are committed to giving back to communities in Singapore and the region. I’ve experienced first hand how collaboration among family offices pools resources and expertise. By aligning on shared goals, they can drive meaningful change more effectively, hence amplifying their impact.
ImpactSG is a great initiative started by Ker Fong, Daniel and Edmund to provide a more structured and committed approach towards philanthropy in Singapore. Having worked closely with them over the past year, we appreciate their openness and honest style of communication, being open to all feedback along the way. Being a new family office in Singapore, and our firm belief in sports (i.e. basketball) as the primary channel to give back (through Alba Berlin), we were glad to find stakeholders that shared the same vision with us. Although it’s early days, the initiatives that are underway represent a key first-step towards a much more meaningful engagement, and we are truly excited at the prospects.
Community investment is integral to our values, we are deeply committed to contributing to the communities where we do business, particularly in Singapore, our home. We're heartened by like-minded family offices who share this vision. ImpactSG's emergence is well-timed, facilitating connections between philanthropic efforts and meaningful initiatives. Their initial achievements and passion warrant our enthusiastic and full support. We feel privileged to back Ker Fong, Edmund and Daniel, and their team in this admirable endeavour.
