Daniel is Director (Sector Policy and Planning), Industry Division at the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Prior to this, he worked on socioeconomic policy, data, and AI at the Strategy Group and Smart Nation & Digital Government Office in the Prime Minister’s Office, and at the Government Technology Agency. He joined the Public Service in 2014, after graduating with a PhD in Government and AM in Statistics from Harvard University. He holds graduate and undergraduate degrees from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.

Daniel is one of ImpactSG’s co-founders and serves as Vice-Chairman on ImpactSG’s Board. He also serves on the School Advisory Committee of Springdale Primary School.
